'Your Stats' in Flickr

Today I discovered a new feature in Flickr. It's called 'Your Stats' and it will display the statistics of your photos on Flickr.
You will be able to see where traffic is coming from and which photo is most popular on for instance a weekly basis.

This has been a feature I've been waiting for for a while now, since you are also not able to put traffic analyzers like Google analytics on your photo detail page. It made me discover that one of my photos was being used on a website about Mini Coopers. It was one of the photos I shot while walking around on a car show. Of course I'm proud someone would pick my shot, but I guess they should have asked since it's copyright protected. This will probably give people more insight into where their photo views are coming from.

I guess I wasn't the only one that had been waiting for something like this. I hope 2008 will bring more cool features. Keep up the good work!

Last Friday I had the pleasure to visit one of the first big Apache Wicket meetups in the Netherlands. At the Felix Meritus, the same place as where the Cocoon GT 2006 took place, I was able to listen to a couple of the brightest Apache Wicket minds.

Looking at the amount of people that came to the NL Wicket meetup it reflects the activity of the Wicket Community. Even though the meetup was arranged on a very short notice, about 94 people attended. That's a great number if you ask me. I guess most of them were dutch, but also a couple of developers from outside of the Netherlands attended the meetup.

For an impression of the event you can take a look here .
